Hi Pete, As long as the 119T252 was 300 watt than this will be a direct replacement. The 119T340 is the same as the one which is in a PX300 transformer. It may be less expensive and more readily available by just getting the PX300 transformer.

What could be the reasons the fuse keeps getting burned out... replaced fuse previously... one week later the fuse blew in the transformer again... could this be a current issue or just a old transformer (purchased in 2007).

Hi, Kelvin. The main reasons are high voltage or load, incorrect wiring including crossed wires. Test the voltage coming into the transformer and feeding the fuse.

This was a very simple replacement. Turn off the breaker, Open up the Intermatic enclosure. Remove the two screws that hold the transformer in place. Remove the wire nuts and simply match wires. Also there are instructions that come with the transformer, and you can select different input wires to affect the output voltage in case of voltage loss. Replace the screws and turn on. Easy. I replaced my old transformer because it was buzzing and my LED light quit working so I was afraid that the output voltage was "Noisy' and prohibiting the LED light from working. The new transformer is actually much, much noisier.......and the led light that I got from here 2 years ago is just shot....only makes a dull green light. ;-)

A lightning strike zapped our transformer and pool lights (and much more). This was easy to replace. Turn off power to pool sub-panel. Remove breaker cover. Disconnect white wire from neutral bar. Disconnect 12/13/14 volt wire-whichever one you are using-from switch leg. Disconnect wires to pool lights. In my case, I removed metal covers and unscrewed transformer from back of panel. Screw new transformer to panel. Attach white wire to neutral bar. Connect 12/13/14 volt wire-whichever one you are using-to switch leg for lights. In my case, I have 2 lights, so I attached one wire to both black wires for lights, and the other wire to the white wire for lights. Re-install metal covers for transformer. Re-install breaker cover. Re-energize panel. Turn on lights, and Bingo!!, Bob's Your Uncle
