You would need to replace Hayward part number SP1600TAP if the old threads have stripped or are petruded out and not creating the seal after replacing the housing gasket.

The brass nut that sets in the Super II housing came out with the screw will repair kit solve that problem? There are two brass nuts that will not allow me to fully tighten down the pump motor.

yes, the Repair Tap Set, F/pump Housing Wg (sp1600tap) will allow you to reinsert the brass fittings into the housing. If this does not work, you would need to replace the Pump Housing Strainer #5110-071 or 5110-072 depending on your pipe sizing.

Why would you need two taps with one bolt? I thought each bolt uses one tap.

This set is one complete bolt kit. If you need to repair 2 bolts you will need to order 2 sets
