Part # 4820-63
Manufacturer Code SP0727
For heavy spring clean-ups, we recommended using a Hayward SP0727 diverter valve to bypass the filter and accelerate the clean-up process. The SP0727 can be used with PerFlex, ReGenex and XStream filters. This valve has 3 ports on it, the valve would screw into the disharge side of your pump and you can have the handle turned so the return water goes through your filter or you can turn the valve in the opposite direction so the dirty water goes to waste and bypasses your filter, this is very helpful when vacuuming or for heavy spring clean up.
Do you sell a replacement nut for the Hayward SP727 valve?

Can this valve be used on a perplex ec75 for an in ground pool. It says on Hayward's site for above ground pools

Yes this can be used with in ground pools. The Perflex is most commonly (in smaller sizes) used in above ground pools. So I'm sure that's what they were referring to.

I have a Haywood ec65 with fingers. Is there an upgrade to use a diverter valve instead of the bump to make it easier and clean the fingers better?

Hi, The "Bump" feature is the only way to backwash the Hayward Perflex filters. The Perflex XStream & Regenx Diverter Valve WG 1.5" (SP0727) is a valve that can be install so that you back vacuum or drain you pool without going through the filter.

I have a Hayward regenx with a RG70 grid filter but do not have a backwash valve which one should I get?
Thanks.

Hello Eric, This valve is a diverter valve to bypass the filter, but is not considered a "backwash" valve. The backwash feature on DE/Sand filters removes the dirty water from the tank and expels it through a waste line. This valve would screw into the discharge side of your pump and you can have the handle turned so the return water goes through your filter or you can turn the valve in the opposite direction so the dirty water goes to waste and bypasses your filter.
