INYO # 4626-11B MFG # 42-3517-00 THIS IS THE LATERAL USED ON THE 250L FILTER THIS IS THE THREADED VERSION WITH THE ALIGNMENT TAB THIS IS A SET OF 8 LATERALS LENGTH: 7-13/16" DIAMETER: 1-1/8" (LATERAL ITSELF) DIAMETER: 1-5/8" (LATERAL FLANGE) THE THREADS ARE PARTIAL THREADS WHICH DO NOT EXTEND ALL THE WAY AROUND THE LATERAL THERE ARE 3 SECTIONS OF THREADS ON THE LATERAL AND AN ALIGNMENT TAB AT THE STANDPIPE END THERE ARE NO NUMBERS MOLDED INTO THE LATERAL

My laser 250L-7 sand filter is 18 years old and I'm planning to replace the sand and also the Dial valve. My question is....should I expect to find the old laterals clogged and broken ? ...and replace them with new laterals?

Hi. If the laterals are original then you should expect to find some broken, rotted or bad laterals.

How do you remove lateral? Don't want to break trying to remove. Do the turn a certain way?

Hi, Britt. To remove these laterals, you will need to unscrew then from the hub in a counter-clockwise rotation.

Hi David, ideally you will want to locate the filter model which is located on the filter label, and possibly the serial number as well.
