DEFLECTOR GASKET
I have a Jacuzzi sand filter on my swimming pool and I'm losing water through my drain line hose. The filter housing has a 7 position Dial Valve , Model # 39263009. Can you tell me if the deflector gasket being missing would cause this problem. If so would I have to replace the entire valve or can I just purchase and install the deflector Gaskets in order to solve this problem. By looking at your Valve Diagram, I just realized that the Deflector gasket is missing.

Hi Richard, You can purchase and replace the Deflector Gasket (13038203R000), if that does not solve your problem then you would have to replace the the Key Assembly with Gasket (39068705R).

my sight glass is leaking like a sieve. took it off and there was no deflector inside, only a well worn washer, tried to replace washer with one like a garden hose would use but it still leaks. does the glass use the deflector as a seal as well as a deflector. this filter is about 30 years old and this is the first problem ever. was there a deflector originally or just a gasket? what do I need to stop this leak. thanx for any help..Dennis

30 years on a pool filter with no problems (Wow). congrats.My guess is the if you replaced the deflector gasket it would stop the leak. I am not sure where the washer came from. Here is a link to the parts breakdown for the Jacuzzi 6 Way Dial
