Can this be used to replace an SP 563 l? if not, do you have one that will?

We spoke with Hayward and they stated that the SPX0570A Face Rim would be the correct face rim for the SP563L light.

How does this attach to the light fixture? I have a chrome ring now and it is attached with a single screw. Can I use the same screw?

Hi, John. This Face Rim is attached to the fixture housing using a Clamp Assembly - SPX0580B. The screw can be re-used if it's in good condition.

I have the stainless rim Hayward Astrolite now and would like to change it to a plastic rim. I see that there is a flange on the thermoplastic Astrolite that my stainless rim light does not have. Is there a way to convert the stainless rim lights to the thermoplastic rim? Otherwise, the light housing looks identical.

Hi, Phil. Unfortunately, there is not a conversion kit. The plastic version requires that latch for grounding reasons.

No the screw is not included. If you require the screw then you will purchase this Light Screw and Washer

Discovered face rims were melted/deformed when upgrading to LED bulbs

Written on 9/26/2017 by Guest

Removed each light from the niche with a single screw. Layed the fixture on a towel on the pool deck, Removed the clamp from the fixture with a single screw. Screw nuts dissolved as soon as the screw turned. Discovered that the plastic face rims were melted/deformed on both lights. Ordered replacement face rims from Inyo - delivered the next day. Removed the lens and replaced the gasket. Screwed in the new LED bulbs. Added a thin bead of silicone gasket lube. Placed the lens back on the fixture. Fitted the new face rim to the light and aligned the clamp. Replaced the screws and nuts with new stainless steel parts. Reattached the fixture into the niche via the 'hook' on the bottom of the face rim and the screw on the top. Takes a little patience to get the screw to bite, especially in the deep end. New lights look awesome!
