Hi Al. The PL3543 will fit the Hayward Super II Pump. The generic cover material is not of a lower quality you're just not paying for the Hayward brand name.

I have a Hayward SP3015X20, which seems to indicate a Super II, but the body of my pump looks like the RS series, with the two hand knobs to secure the lid. The lid looks like p/n 5110-03B and bear p/n SP3000D. The threads on the lid do not engage the threads in the pump body.
Will this threaded lid fit? Many other parts seem to cross between the two series (RS and Super II) including the lid O-ring, impellers and diffusers. Thanks!

I need a lid or cover for an older model pump the model number is SP1593 if I can't get this one is there an alternative?

This screw in lid replaced a lid that had 2 screw knobs to hold the previous cover in place. The cover with the 2 knobs had been troublesome, and had been leaking air for years. The new screw in lid solved that problem immediately.

Works great. Seals to housing again no broken threads like old lid. Very simple installation screw it on tight so no air suction. Replaced seal also. Easy

Pros: Worked and fit as described, very fast shipping. Great customer service before and after the sale. I will purchase all parts and pool equipment from them in the future.
Cons: None, staff was friendly and fast on all communication.
Part fit and worked perfectly, I chose to replace the O-Ring at the same time. Parts were OEM's, new and in the OEM packing material.

This is a great replacement part for the Hayward Pump Strainer Cover. It is not tinted like the original so it is much easier to tell when the strainer needs to be emptied.
