Jayne- Replacing the Cap & Gasket kit 4802-09B on you sand filter you would need to simply unscrew the old one, and quickly screw this one on.

I have a cap (S-180-H) and it leaks all the time,do you have any? It also has no gasket. Can you help me.

Hi Keith, Because you don't have a gasket that's why it leaks. I would recommend getting the Drain Cap Gasket (G-382), that will solve your problem.

My cap was replaced last fall by a pool company that is no longer in business. The cap leaked from day one and it did not have a gasket. The cap cracked and blew out the front of the cap. Now the threads are stripped and a new cap will not seal. What do i do?

John, If the threads are stripped there may be nothing else to do short of replacing the tank. I would recommend calling Hayward. You can reach them at 888-429-9273.

I called Blue Water as I'm looking for a filter drain cap for my Sandman filter. They only have the whole drain assembly available (#NEP2123) and shared your number. I see several caps, but don't know if they're the right one for my filter.

Hi Lisa, Unfortunately, just the cap is not available for that filter. You will have to replace the entire Drain Plug Assembly - NEP2123

This is a helpful tip to all pool owners. This cap that I purchased may seem like a small item but without it, your pool will not run. I tightened mine a bit too tight and cracked it. Realizing that I could no longer run my pool filtration system, I came up with a great solution. Those parts that can stop the pool from circulating water if damaged are critical! So, I now purchase 2 from Inyo Pools when I buy. That way, I always can keep my pool running. This includes parts for the chlorinator, pump gaskets and gauges

I needed the plug for my filter (cracked mine). Went to a pool store and they did not have any in stock. I got yours delivered faster than the local pool store could provide me with the plug.

I was looking to replace a cracked drain cap for my Hayward SandMaster filter. Found this on the web. As it is the end of the season, I have not actually tried it yet. But the service was good, as I had accidentally ordered the wrong item, the gasket only, I believe. I realized my error and contacted inyo via the website. The customer service rep. replied quickly and corrected my order quickly with no hassles. With customer service these days on a lot of web sites, they don't even reply to your email in a timely manner.
