Pool Cove 48" Section - Peel N' Place Closed Cell Foam
4" tall, 3" deep, 48" long. The color may be white or blue.
Much easier to install and more dependable than sand coves, Peel & Stick Pool Cove has an adhesive backing for quick, easy installation and will extend the life of your liner for years!
A cove is needed to keep the weight of the water in the pool liner from causing it to balloon out under the bottom of the pool wall. Previously, pool cove had to be hand-built using tons of sand or dirt. Liner failures due to cove washout were all too common. Corrosion occurred rapidly where metal components, at the bottom of the pool, came in contact with moisture in the sand or dirt.

When installing the Peel and Stick Pool Cove, do I need to seal it using tape to the Gorilla floor?
Reply
Hi Matt, This cove does have an adhesive strip on the back of the cove which would secure it to the pool wall. No tape or adhesive would be needed on the bottom of the cove to secure to Gorilla floor.

I was and have replaced the liner but the peal and stick even after cleaning didn't stick.
The pool ordinarily had a dirt cove. Perhaps since the metal was not new cause an issue. I went back to dirt cove. Unfortunately you only have 30 day from order not recipe to return. If anyone wants to buy them they are brand new in the box. I'm trying to think of uses such as wall bumpers for kids or parking stops for cars in a garage.

Very easy to install. Worked like a charm. I wish I would have used these on the initial install instead of doing a dirt Cove.

Ended up looking good when finished, but was a lot of trouble during installation. Pieces kept coming loose and moving around, and had gaps between pieces while filling. I believe if I ever replace my liner, I'll use good old sand.

I don't think the cove is as large as it needs to be to work properly. Also, the self adhesive dried out a little quickly.

Pros: Easy to put on
Cons: Will shrink to a certain extent with the heat
I have used artificial coves on all of my pool installations for the last six years. They make my pools look great and keep the liner from rubbing against the bottom rail.

(2 out of 5 stars) Ok coving still better than sand I guess...
Reviewed By: Linda T. from Ridgecrest, CA ()
Pros: Better than sand I guess
Cons: Much smaller than drawing, lots of work to stick
The coving worked but it took quite a bit of maneuvering on my part to get it to stick to the wall plus it is much smaller than the drawing implies... Eventually we got it down & used tons of duct tape to hold it down & seal seams where each cove met the next cuz they really did not line up flush. Pool directions call for a 6-8" sand cove build up these pieces barely reached 4" & did not sit flush on ground nor did end pieces fit flush & bottom cut out was too small. Think they were really made for a smaller metal bottom track than the nice bigger resin matrix track that's for sure when it would go over where the foot was it was a huge gap to get over.

(5 out of 5 stars) Liner Protection
Reviewed By: Lee B from Lee B, Newark DE ()
Pros: Easy to install, the self adhesive sticks well!!!
I highly recommend this product. The padding actually fits right in where the wall and floor meet. It is self adhesive and prevents tears that can be caused in this area. Sometimes just the water circulation can cause pressure and with this protection it reduces those chances of tears.

(5 out of 5 stars) A must have product
Reviewed By: engine8 from Boston ()
Pros: easy to use, quick to install
Cons: none that I found
If you are still using sand to build up the sides, this is the product for you. Its sooooo easy to use and it builds the perfect edge for the liner. You don't even have to think about it, just peal of the the protective tape to reveal the sticky back and stick to the side of the pool. It even has a groove cut out for the bottom channel so it seems to be impossible not to get the perfect berm that is so important for the liner to fit properly.
