Will the GRC40GH be recognized by my Hayward Aquarite control? Will the unions match up the same way?
Reply
The GRC40GH is manufactured by CompuPool and will match the thread pattern of the pre-existing unions (the cell does not come with unions). To date we have sold quite a few of these units and have had no reports of any incompatibility issues.

have the aquarite t 15 cell 40 thousand gallon cell is there a less expensive one on market just as good or better the one i have now only has a one year warrenty and cost over 540 dollars

Hi Donald, This PL7106 AquaRite Replacement Cell would be the cell for you as it is $399 and comes with a 2-year warranty. This cell is just as good as the Hayward original as the titanium cell blades are made from the same material supplier as the Hayward original.

Where do I find T-15 on my cell? I am trying to find replacement for my Heyward "Aqua Collection" serial # 3E1011-2079537, I have a photo
Reply
Hi, Junior. The Aqua Collection Series only use the T-15 Cell based on the info I've found. If your cell has the gallon capacity size, you can also use that to determine what cell size you have.
Reply
The only numbers I see on my T-15 cell (aqua Lite) are: *1E0801-4014185*. Is the PL7106 a compatible replacement? Will I have to change the cell setting on my motherboard which is currently set at T15? please email me & you can also post on your Q&A site.
Reply
Hi Jeff, this would be the replacement cell that you need and you would not need to change the cell setting on your power supply.

Many suppliers of replacement cells specify that the Aqua Rite controller needs to be running software version 1.50 or higher. Does the PL7106 have any such requirement? Also, is the 2-year warranty prorated or non-prorated?
Reply
Hello- The Aqua Rite Salt Cell Replacement T-15 (2 Year Warranty) - PL7106 does require controller firmware version 1.5 or higher. The warranty on the PL7106 is a two-year full warranty.
Reply
how do you know what firmware you have
Reply
Hi Chuck, By repeatedly pressing the small diagnostic button on your AquaRite one of those readings will be your software revision, I believe it should be the 7th press. The software will be displayed in a format like this on your display Software revision level (r1.xx) the .xx needs to be .50 or higher

I have a 6 year old Hayward Pro Logic System PL-PS-4 with a Hayward Turbo Cell T-Cell-15 salt generator that I think is wearing out. Is this generic salt cell replacement compatible with my Pro Logic system? It is not listed on the list of compatible systems. And are specs on this unit exactly the same as the Hayward OEM in all respects? Thanks

Hi, can you respond to this Hayward marketing language:
"Beware of Imitations
With other replacement cells, you get what you pay for: lower quality and shorter operating life. Through independent tests by the leading authority in electrolytic cells, some generic cells have been shown to have 75% less operating life than a Genuine Hayward T-CELL-15."
Also, if you state that the typical cell lasts 3-5 years, why only offer a 2 year warranty?
Reply
Hi Ben we do agree with Hayward that there are some After Market salt cell which are of very low quality. The reason being is that many manufacturers use a low quality material for the cell blades inside of the salt cell. The cell blades are what make your chlorine, when the cell blades go bad is when the salt cell needs to be replaced. The blades are titanium and then coated with a material called ruthenium. The cell blades used in the PureLine after market cell are made in the U.S.A and are made to the same quality as the Hayward blades. Other after market cells have the blades made in China and the quality is lower. The cell will last for 7,000 hours so if someone rruns the cell 24-7 365 days per year then this would be 10,000 hours per year. An average pool owner would run the system 4 hours per day at 365 days or 1,500 hours per year. This is why we have set the warranty at 2 yrs which we feel is strong compared to other salt cells.
Reply
How often do the cells are a saltwater pool have to be replaced
Reply
Hi. Most cells are to be replaced 3-5 years if your pool runs year round and longer if seasonal.
Reply
Confirm that 1 initial cost to go to salt $1259 for 40,000 gallon pool plus some misc parts plus 2 pool start up each year you add 25 bags of #40 salt to the water or $150 additional @$6/bag/year 3 the inline salt T device replacement every 3-5 years for $579 4 year 1 = $1259 + $150 +$100 misc or $1500 ish so if I move to salt factoring the initial cost averages 500 per year for first 3 years then the replacement inline T cost $579 seems a lot

Hi, Eric. They are other advantages of switching to a salt pool, it is gentler on the eyes and skin, reduce storing and handling of unsafe chemicals, over chlorinating your pool, and softer-feeling water.

I'm not sure if I need a new cell or a new main board. A couple days ago, my Aqua Rite SWG stopped generating chlorine, and only the "Power" light is on (all other lights are off). My display readings are as follows:
Salt level: 2600
30.9 volts
0.00 amps
Instant salinity: -0
AL-5
r1.33
If I need a new cell, do you sell an aftermarket one for Aqua Rite Software Rev. 1.33?
Thanks for your help!
Good afternoon, yes based on your readings you would need to order the PureLine Pureline Replacement T-15 Cell for AquaRite. This unit would work with any Hayward system that needs a T-Cell15 replacement.

I just purchased the pureline T-15 cell. I did all the steps and it is showing power but it is not chlorinating and it has a solid check cell light. I have a Hayward Goldline board and software version shows 1.58. What should I do.

I need a replacement Salt Cell for Hawward - AquaRite.
Youshow Pureline T-15 for up to 40000Gal Pool. I have a 23000 Gal Pool.
Do you have a T-Cell -9 25000 gal Cell?
And, if so whats the price.
Reply
Hi Jim, Our suggestion for your sized pool is this 40,000-gallon cell. The reason being is that since it generates more chlorine you can dial it down to a lower setting thus getting longer life out of the cell compared to the T-Cell-9 also if you get into an algae bloom situation you can really crank up the chlorine production with this salt cell. Finally pretty much all of the AquaRite Power supplies accept the T-Cell-15 where not all versions of the AquaRite power supply accept the T-Cell-9.

Prior to selecting a replacement cell, please view the attached Quick Reference Guide, with attention directed to the section Changing Cell Size. Please verify that the Salt System will accept alternative cell sizes.

I have the PL7106 and the controller is a Pureline also, but I don't know the model number. The controller sees the cell as F-15. The issue I'm having is the salt reading is not matching what the pool has. I had it checked at Leslies and the salt was 2900 ppm. My controller says 6000 ppm. The software number is 647. I tried several times to calibrate the system, but I haven't been successful. Any suggestions? Any way to test the controller or the cell?
