The Leaf Eater W/ Brush And Wheels will not effectively pick up sand and silt, you'll need a suction vacuum.

Robin, You would attach your garden hose to the leaf eater. The pressure from the garden hose pushes the leaves into the bag.

Does that too white ring come off. The bag with mesh net is hooked in it but can’t pull off or twist off. What is it supposed to do??

Hi, The white ring cannot be removed. That is the lip that helps secure the bag to the Leaf Eater assembly.
