I have 2G lights in my pool and want to put a 3G light in my spa. Will the 2G and 3G versions synchronize with one another?
Reply
According to the manufacturer, the 2G and 3G versions will not synchronize with one another. To have the lights on the same color rotation, you would need to have the same version in both your pool and spa.

What is the difference between the G3 and the G2 LED Light?
Reply
The G3 uses newer technology which gives you brighter light output than the G2, also the older technology on the G2 let's you see individual rays of light where the new technology on the G3 has a much smoother light output. You may view or purchase either light here >http://www.inyopools.com/lights_jjelectronics.aspx

For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?
Reply
The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off. This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

Do you use a remote to change the colors on the Color Splash light?
Reply
An additional remote is not needed to operate the color splash light. You would turn on and off the light with your house light switch. Here is a link to the Color Splash manual of this light that provides diagrams and instructions on how to change each respective color.

What are the lumens (or light output) for the 2G and 3G compared to that of an average 500w bulb?
Reply
The LED lights are not rated in lumens. The 2G light is comparable to 275 watts and the 3G is comparable to 300 watts.

My pool has a regular white light bulb, I would like to use the COLOR SPLASH 2G or 3G is it a matter of unscrewing the old bulb and screwing in the Color splash? Or will I have to change out the casing as well. Also; is there a remote or a switch to control changing colors?
Reply
Hi, Yes you can simpley just change out the light bulb whether you go with the 2G or 3G. You will not need to change the fixture but, you will need to replace the lens gasket to ensure no water places to the light. With these lights there is no remote to change the colors, simply turn on and off the light from your light switch or automation control and the light will cycle through it's solid colors then to color shows

My pool light has a dimmer or rheostat slider built in to the on/off switch. Is your LED light compatible with this type of switch?

Hi Bill, Unfotunately the Color Splash lights cannot be used with dimming systems.

What is the difference between the 2G LED light and the 3G LED light? both state that they have a number of different "light shows." Are these shows controllable or they just happen in a particular sequence?
Reply
Hi Scott, The 3G bulb has an "Optical Diffuser" that will enhance the uniformity of the light intensity and color saturation. Which means its brighter and will evenly diffuse the color throughout the pool. You can set the light to one of the seven solid colors or 5 light shows, this can be done by using the switch that controls the pool light.

Hi, I have bulbs out on both my pool and spa.. This is the perfect time to go to color changing LED, but I need to make sure this Color Splash will fit. I have Pentair SpaBright in the spa (calls for a T-4 bulb and sas 100watts and 120Volts) and Pentair Aqualight in the pool (calls for R-40 bulb type, 500 Watts and 120 Volts)
Will the Color Splash bulbs fit in these housings?
Reply
Adam- If by T-4 bulb you are referring to the Quartz style bulb ( 3530-13), then there would be no Colorsplash available to fit that model. As for your Aqualight that uses the R40 flood light type bulb, you will be able to use the Colorsplash lights.

whats the differnce from a 2g and 3g pool light
my existing pool light is 120V can i put a 12v splash light bulb
Reply
the difference between the 2G and 3G will be brightness and the 3G will have a wider beam. You can not convert your 120 to a 12v housing. You would then need to look at complete replacement and add a new transformer.

Hello, Ken. The part numbers provided do not validate. I am going to send you a separate email, where you may apply photos of the existing light, so I may identify by photos. I also recommend looking for a molded part number on the lens of the fixture.

I have a 120 v pool light. The fixture label says American Products N82-7800. It has a 400 watt bulb. The light was controlled by a standard wall switch which I replaced with a wall timer switch. Will the G2 or G3 bulbs work in this set up?

I have a 500 watt white bulb in my pool. Will the 2G or 3G light fit for replacement. I know it is a 120V.
Reply
Hi Nina. It depends on the pool size and the locating of the fixture. The 3G bulb is brighter than the 2G bulb and will illuminate your pool better.

I am looking to replace my two pool light bulbs with your Color Splash 2 G units. I read that the units are compatible with Pentair Amerlite 784 Series. The P/N on my unit is 78949100. Would my light fixtures be compatible? Thanks

Hi, Steven. Yes, this ColorSplash 2G bulb is compatible with your light fixture based on the p/n provided. We also recommend that you get the Guardian Silicone Lens Gasket - LPL-G-P for that fixture.

hello, In process of renovating an older gunite with one fixture. The ring around fixture says" Anthony Pools Model #14 wet niche type" and also " Use with Model #15 fixture housing 12 volt 300 watt max R40 lamp"
Question if you could be so kind:
1) Can I get a color changing LED bulb to fit-work. That sounds awesome
2) I also need a new lens (cracked) its a 8 3/8 diameter
Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi, new2this. This bulb is not compatible with the Anthony Pool Fixtures. The replacement lens gasket is Part # 14118-Anthony.

Hi. I am a brand new pool owner and it's all a bit overwhelming! Someone recommended your site as an excellent resource so I am scouring through :)
We have an inground pool and spa. The spa light is completely out so has to be replaced and we considered replacing both with LEDs. We have not taken them out yet to get the exact model numbers but I do have both owners manuals.
I see a P/N #99360000 (pool light) and P/N #99410000 (spa light). Will these LEDs work?
Reply
Hi, Misty. Based on the info provided, for the pool light, you can use the PureColors LED Bulb. We will need to confirm the bulb type of the spa light in order to confirm if you can do the same.
