Hi Lisa, Most filter are replaced every 12-16 months depending on several factors like overall use, size of filter to pump and quality of cleaning.

I change out my Xstream filter twice a summer (start & mid-summer) I skim my pool daily Run my robot 2-3 times a week I could probably get by with 1 filter but I am very meticulous about crystal clear water.

I HAVE A 24 FT. ROUND ABOVE GROUND POOL.14,600 GALLON POOL CAPACITY, WITH A HAYWARD XSTREAM CARTRIDGE FILTER SYSTEM. I WANT TO BUY A REPLACEMENT FILTER. I AM NOT SURE OF WHAT SIZE TO BUY. WHEN I LOOK IN THE HAYWARD REPLACEMENT PART PAGE, IT LISTS TWO SIZES CCX1000RE OR CCX1500RE . THERE IS NOTHING SHOWING ME A DEFINITE SIZE. THE ONLY OTHER THING I COULD DO IS STOP THE POOL FROM RUNNING AND TAKE THE CARTRIDGE OUT , AND LOOK FOR A SIZE NUMBER ON IT. THANK, YOU, J.CAREY

Is this filter the right one for a Hayward XStream filter, Model CCX1000C, Serial No. 2112***********?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/27/2025 by InyoPools Product Specialist Robert M.

CCX1000C is the part number for the lid of the 100 sq ft Hayward XStream filter. So yes, the PL0131 would be the correct cartridge. You can confirm this by measuring the cartridge height. The PL0131 measures 17-3/16" tall.
