No, no additional parts or tools are needed. The Pool Vac XL operates off of the existing filtration system and installs in ten minutes.

My Pool Vac XL can't make it out of the deep end of my pool. Any idea why?

Please make sure when installing the cleaner to have adequate lengths of hose. The hose should reach from the skimmer or vac lock to the furthest point in the pool, plus TWO extra hose sections.

I have a Hayward Pool Vac XL and the cleaner does not climb the walls? Why?

There are a few reasons why this may be happening. FIrst of all the shoes on the cleaner may not be correct for the surface type. Please call 908-355-7995 for the correct shoes for your application. Another reason may be worn shoes or wings. The hose may be too short. There is also a adjustment for the rear flap. Please double check all of these possibilities.

My Hayward Pool Vac XL just goes in circles and ties the hose into figure 8's?

There are a couple of possibilities. The first and most likely is the gear box inside the cleaner has dirt or grit in it and that is keeping the cleaner only turning in one direction. It is possible to take the cleaner apart and attempt to clean out the gear box. If that does not solve it, purchasing a new gear box will be necessary. The other possibility is that the hoses may have developed a "memory" and have a bend to them now. Simply lay them out in the sun to straighten them out.

Does this work on a pebble Tec pool. Do you carry a leaf canister that also has the ability to top skim the pool as well?

Mark, This Hayward Pool Vac XL - Concrete Cleaner will work on a Pebble Tec surface pool, it does not have the capability to skim the surface. We carry the Hayward Standard Leaf Canister and Large Capacity Leaf Canister With Mesh Bag

What is the difference between the blue and the pro and xl? Is one better then the other?

Hi Rick, The Hayward Blu, Pro and XL all have the same internal parts so they will perform the same. They all have different body styles, the Blu has a 1 Year warranty and comes with 32 feet of hose while the Pro and XL has a 2 Year limited warranty and comes with 40 feet of hose.

Have the Navigator which has been in operation for over 17 plus years, and has been re-built several times. It works great, but the cost of re-building it today is 50% of the cost of a new one. so I feel that maybe it's time to replace it with a new one. Do I go to the Pro or the XL or just have my old one re-built?

I have pop up saltwater pool. where would i connect this cleaner to in my pool?

This cleaner requires a dedicated suction line, or to connect into a skimmer. I don't know what your pop-up saltwater pool consists of, so it is hard to say. But if you are using a pump meant for above-ground pools, this cleaner will not work.

Hello Ray. The Hayward Pool Vac XL - Concrete Cleaner - W32025ADC comes with approx. 40 feet of segmented hose. Each hose segment is approx. 4 feet in length.
