Pool Solutions 3 inch chlorine tablet is a powerful, stabilized slow dissolving completely soluble way to keep your pool water clean and safe. Pool Solutions 3 inch tablets are 90% available chlorine and stabilized to stay in the water longer, saving you time and money.
Not all chlorine is created equal. Don't be fooled by less expensive imported chlorine sold all over the internet and in the big box stores. Chlorine is not all the same. All of the Pool Solutions Line Is Made In The USA . High quality highly concentrated chlorine means you will use up to 40% less in your pool to achieve the same residual chlorine level.

How do I break chlorine lock?
Reply
One of the main reasons that chlorine can become "locked" is that too much stabilizer has accumulated over the course of time. Stabilizer (cyanuric acid) can build up over a long period of time, sometimes months or even years. Once the stabilizer reaches high levels, the chlorine in the water is useless. The only way to break the lock is to reduce the level of cyanuric acid in the pool. The quickest way to do this is to add fresh water to the pool. This will help dilute the acid levels in the pool so that the chlorine will become more effective. Pools should be partially drained and refilled (every 3 years or so).

I use bromine in my spa. It smells very strong, and I would like to change to chlorine. Can I do that or are spa's specially equipped for the use of bromine?
Reply
If you are going to switch from bromine to chlorine, you would need to drain the spa and refill it with fresh water. Bromine is typically used in spas because it holds up better in higher temperatures while chlorine does not. If you want to reduce the amount of bromine you need, you could use a Nature2 Spa Purifier which uses minerals to purify the water.

I was told that you should never put the chlorine tablets in the skimmer, only in a floater. I have never used a floater in 11 years. Is this true? And if yes, why?
Reply
Placing chlorine tablets in the skimmer will cause the skimmer basket and pool pump to corrode prematurely due to the concentration of chlorine. I would recommend using either an automatic chlorinator or a chlorine floater in conjunction with slow dissolve chlorine tablets.

We needed to add to our pool supply of chlorine tablets. I checked the pricing of local (big and small) pool supply stores within 5 miles of my house. InyoPools.com beat everyone's price and I didn't have to use gas to get my tablets. That's a win-win!

While on a 10 day vacation my neighborhood experienced power outages 3 separate times resulting in my pool pump having to reset each time causing it to not turn all at all. 1st step was to increase the water level before cleaning. 2nd step was to clean the filter and add clean water to the pump. 3rd step was to add chlorine tablets enough to aid the cleaning for a 55,000 gallon pool. 4th step was to add pool shock. 5th step was to reset the power to the pump. 6th and final step was to brush the pool walls. Total timing was 96 hours before seeing the

1. Bought a vinyl patch kit and a pair of swim googles.
2. Filled a plastic titration bottle (like the 1 oz bottles used for chlorine or pH titration) with water and added a few drops of blue food dye
3. Went under water and squirted the dye wherever I thought it might be leaking. Located the hole very quickly. (Note: At or near the pool bottom, you'll need something or someone to overcome your buoyancy and hold you down to squirt the dye.)
4. Patched the small tear with the vinyl patch kit as per instructions

Pros: Good price and it work ok
Cons: could be a better quality
I just tried these new products, they work ok but I prefer the blue wave quality over this brand. the tablets don't seem to be as uniform in density as the blue wave products, but the price is ok. I prefer Sun or Blue wave over this product
