Hi, will this seal work with older 2002-2007 Northstar pumps? I have a model SP4015X20NS and would like to select this seal over the hayward seal because I use a salt chlorine generator and an ozonator. Thanks!

Hi Stefan, The correct Shaft Seal for your Northstar Pump 200-2007 will be the Seal Assembly (1998-2007) (SPX4000SA2).

Since I had to replace my motor and impeller it was required to replace the bearings and O-ring to repair it correctly.
1) Shutoff all power breakers to pool pump
2) Remove motor cap in back of motor
3) Disconnect all wires including ground
4) Unscrew wire protector from motor
5) Remove all (6) bolts to remove motor from pump housing
6) Remove all (4) bolts from motor to switch pump housing plate to new motor.
7) Replace bearings and O-ring provided on new motor
8) Reinstall new motor to existing pump in reverse order

Followed instructions, changed motor and this gasket. Took me 30 minutes. Professional company wanted $850. Cost me 300 for motor and gasket. The motor was I bought was an exact replacement. Super easy, saved major $.

My old pump seal failed and the new pump started leaking after operating for two weeks. I called INYO help desk and they sent out this extra heavy duty pump seal. I took the motor apart, disengaged the old seal and popped in the new seal. Everything worked like a charm and I am very pleased. Thank you INYO Help Desk!

Seals came as promised only took 2 days to arrive in the height of Christmas shipping. Motor arrived 2 days after seals. I will always use this company for my pool needs.
