What is the difference in a SP2607-c impeller, and SPX2607-c impeller? And, can either be used as a replacement for the other?

Jeff - A SP2607-c impeller, and SPX2607-c impeller are the same. An "X" is sometimes added to the part number to show that it is a part and opposed to a whole product.

Hi, The Hayward Impeller (SPX2610C) would be the correct size impeller for a 1-1/2 HP max-rated motor.

My older Hayward pump needs a new impeller...the part number is in the SP-1600 series......what new number impeller would be a replacement for my unit the number on the motor looks like 1607 Z1.....thanks for your help

I took my motor off and took it apart. I watched several of the Inyo How To Videos on how to replace Seal, Diffuser, Washer, and impeller. The Video's made the installation quite easy.

I wonder if I there is a salt water impeller, but my old was the same, and probably didn't even need replaced. rebuilt the motor, so thought while it was apart, I would rebuild the pump.

When I replaced the Polaris pump I bought a one hp instead of a 3/4 hp mistakenly. This causes the pressure to run too high. This diffuser corrected the problem and everything is now working properly.

I upgraded my motor to 1 hp and wanted to match the impeller. My Hayward Superpump originally had a 3/4 hp motor and impeller. Quality and fit was A+.

Had impeller on main pool pump seize and locked up pump. Found the replacement impeller easily on inyo pools parts diagram. Used a you tube video to review how to install new impeller. Really straightforward and took about 1 hr to get pump back in use. Has run for week so far without problems. I had one question about a diffuser seal from the video (video showed one but the pump I was re.pairing did not) quick help email to Inyo pools was quickly returned and clarified). Pleased with parts, cost and service.

Exact replacement and a perfect fit. I also found a helpful installation tip on Inyopool website. A 7/16" open end wrench fits on the motor shaft under the inpeller. There is one spot you can sneak it in from the side. Then the old impeller screws right off.
