Hi. This board is not difficult to install instructions are located on page 36 of the Max-E-Therm Owner's Manual.

I have a control board that has a nine pin connector PN 42001-0096A. Is the "S" board on this site a replacement for the board I have. If not, do you offer a direct replacement for the board I have?

Hi, Jeff. The alternate replacement Control Board is P/N 42002-0007S.

my old board has two 7 pin plugs on top right that are missing on the new board.The board P/N on my old one is 42001-0096A

This board (42001-0096S) has been replaced by 42002-0007S which is a 6 pin board. 42001-0096S is a 9 pin board used on a very rare Sta-Rite MX remote heater. If you do not have the rare Sta-Rite MX heater the 42002-0007s board will work. Sorry but we do not have a solution from the mfg for the MX heater that you have.
