I have a des-51 sta-rite filter. Could you tell me the difference between #19 u111-208p which is obsolete and u11-198p. Is the thread size different or size of fitting 1 1/2 or 2 inch.

The U11-208P is for a Stainless filter, and the U11-198P is for a fiberglass filter

sorry but wea re not able to back track to confirm the U111-208P information, we can confirm that the U11-198P is 2"

rubber adaptor
I have the steel version. Needed to change out the backwash valve which required new adaptors to the filter. Rather than get a whole new system, I had to use rubber connectors a little smaller than the actual size of the nipple. After winding plumbers tape around the nipple, I had to place cement glue and immediately shove the rubber piece onto it. I was then able to find the appropriate size plastic piece for the other end. Its completely rigged, but it does the job!
