The measurements for the Pentair Clean and Clear Plus cartridge filter are as follows: top port is 15.5" on center from the ground and the bottom port is 8" on center from the ground.

Will this Product (Pentair Multiport 2 Inch Hi-Flow DE Filter Valve 261142) fit the above filter?

Filter model # 160340, does not require a multiport valve. The valves are only required for sand or DE filter units, not needed for cartridge filters.

Hi, You will need to calculate the total feet of head of your pool. You can watch our How To: Size A Pool Pump to find out how to calculate the total feet of head. Once you have that info you can provide us with that figure then we can recommend a pump that can be used with this filter.

After many years of the DE filter use, it was time to replace. Cleaning the DE filter became a hassle, draining was always a messy job. DE residue all over ground and then restoring the DE was always a mess. But this time, I noticed the plastic water diffuser in the filter was becoming brittle and cracking, I suppose it was old and affected by the chlorine over the years.
I tried carefully to put back the filters blades and everything was breaking, nevertheless, I completed putting everything back together and started to close the filter with the band that keeps both half's of the filter together when the band broke.
The screw was stripped out and I could no longer replace the screw. Look it up on the internet and could not find it. No longer available. Therefore, maybe it was time to replace the old Hayward DE filter with a new Pentair 4 cartridge filter to match my one year old Pentair variable speed motor.
I was able to calculate the appropriate size filter using Pentair pool calculator. I verified the size with Inyo support staff and they verified my calcs. Ordered the Pentair pool filter, installed it relatively easy. The hardest part was waiting for the PVC glue to dry for next day use. Happy to say, my pool is now crystal clear and clean. I recycled the fiberglass halves of the filter as planters in the backyard.
Now I can enjoy my summer in the pool.

Pros: Easy to maintain, quality construction
Cons: None of which I'm currently aware
I had to replace an undersized filter on my 30000 gallon in-ground..(rule is 100 sf of filter for each 10000 gallons of pool water.) The Pentair 320 gives me excellent filtering and plenty of capacity. The pros at InYoPools did a fine job of seeing that I got the right filter needed to handle my pool's needs. Very easy to maintain and very well built. Should last for many, many years of service.

It has been a week May/2020 since I installed Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge Filter 320 sqft and do not recall seeing my pool so clean and crystal. There are no leaks, installation was easy and working perfect. Thank you for the support it is a perfect match to my pool.
