Hi, The Hayward Auto-Skim Skimmer (SP1082) will be the model with the square cover. This model also has 2" FIP port and is for concrete or gunite surface pools.

I have a block wall pool. Do you have a skimmer with a 8" depth?

If you have a model number or molded part number off of your existing skimmer lid or body of the skimmer, you should be able to complete a cross-reference for a direct replacement. Building a block pool, inground, will this set up work for me?

It really depends on how you will finish the pool, if you finish it with gunite/cement then yes, it could be used for concrete applications. Most of the block pools are using sand packed in with a vinyl pool fit for the block wall. If you use vinyl, the AutoSkim w/ 2-inch Ports Vinyl / Fiberglass - SP1084 is available.
