What is the difference (besides price) between GOKIT1 and GOKIT1SALT (tune up kits for Hayward Max Flo)? What makes one suitable for salt pools and the other not?

Will gokit1salt work on a pump Model #MP2607x10 Serial #21121310002029012? I am replacing motor with a UST1102.Yes I do have a salt pool.

Hi, John. The model number provided is not correct. If you have model # SP2607X10 you will need p/n GOKIT3SALT along with the UST1102 motor.

What is the difference between the CT 1102 and UCT 1152 pump motors? Are these the replacements for Hayward Super Pump II motors?
I have the round trap basket which go kit will i need? only 2 wires to the motor does it matter which is which for the power?

Hi, Pswitz. The difference between the CT1102 and the UCT1152 are the Total HP (THP), the amp rating and the internal design of the motors. These motors are interchangeable and will fit the Hayward Super II Pump. You will need to get the Hayward Super Ii Pump Tune Up Kit - GOKIT2 or GOKIT2SALT. You can follow the steps in our How To Wire A Pool Pump Motor and also use the wiring diagram located on the motor for wiring instructions based on whether the motor will be wired for 115 or 230 volts.
