My bulbs burn out after a few hours of use. What would cause this?

My first guess would be to check the voltage. If you are getting anything more than 12v to the light, it will run hotter and burn out quicker.

Will this Bulb fit and work with Hayward Astrolite Model # sp0581s15. I think it does but want to make sure.

Hello Orlando, yes the Seit NA700 bulb is compatible with the Hayward Astrolite fixture. I recommend confirming your voltage is 12 volts before placing the order.

After four bulbs (the kind that cost $12 on the internet) in four weeks provided and installed by our pool guy (who will likely charge us $50 for each installation), I decided to do this myself. First I tested that our fixture was properly supplying only about 12 volts. Then I ordered the bulb for next day delivery. It arrived on schedule and only took me about a half hour to install. Voila! The pool looks beautiful at night and we hope not to bother with this until at least next season.

This light was an exact match for my Hayward Pool Light Model SP058115. It worked great and was so much cheaper than replacing the entire light underwater system. You just removed a few screws and replaced the bulb. I also got the gasket Astrolite LensGasket SPX0580Z2 (Generic). It was really cheap insurance to replace the gasket sealing the water out when you replace the pool bulb. This job took very little skill to accomplish myself, and I am very happy to have saved myself hundreds of dollars by doing it myself.
